South Houston's Own Little Corner
El Nuevo Amanecer — The New Dawn — sits on Spencer Hwy and has been feeding South Houston families with the kind of food that takes time to get right. Pupusas pressed by hand, curtido fermented in-house, and tacos built the way a taqueria should build them.
We pull from two traditions and do both honestly. Whether you're here for a Salvadoran combo plate or a late-week taco run, you'll find portions that make sense and flavors that hold up. This is the food we cook for our own family — same as what lands on your table.
